The Giants beat the Dodgers for a fourth straight day. Dick Gray's error in the sixth inning put Bob Schmidt in scoring position, and Schmidt was plated by a Jim Davenport two-out single to break a 1-1 tie. Felipe Alou added a solo homer for the first-place Giants.
