Phi 6, LA 3

Tuesday, May 12- The Philadelphia Phillies scored five unearned runs in the second inning and cruised to a 6-3 win over the league-leading Los Angeles Dodgers at the Coliseum.

An error by first baseman Norm Larker to start the inning led to five runs being scored after the inning should have been over. The big blow was a bases loaded triple by Joe Koppe. Willie Jones hit yet another home run, his eighth, and third in the past two games.

Gene Conley pitched a complete game for Philadelphia (12-15). Charlie Neal and Wally Moon hit home runs for Los Angeles (17-13), which had its three-game winning streak snapped.
